Supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Saturday held rallies in various parts of Lagos State.
On Saturday morning, October 1, the supporters, known as the ‘Obidients’, were seen in mass number as they marched at the Lekki-Epe Expressway, chanting ‘Obi! Obidient!’
They began the walk from the Admiralty Junction moving through the major road in Lekki, making stops at every junction waving flags, banners and other paraphernalia.
They moved towards Jakande, Elegushi axis, to avoid confrontation with the police already stationed at the Lekki toll gate.

A Lagos High Court had earlier this week ruled that no rally should be held at the toll gate.
The court also directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, to ensure compliance with the order.
On the mainland, Obi’s supporters marched through Ojuelegba, Surulere, Ikeja and Festac among others.
Rallies were also held in the northern states of Bauchi, Kaduna, and Adamawa; and in Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Edo and others.
