Obiano has performed woefully — Nwobu-Alor, APGA chieftain

Nwobu-Alor

A founding member of APGA, and member of APGA Stakeholders’ Forum, Chief Sylvester Nwobu Alor, has said that the poor performance of the incumbent governor has created a vacancy that any of the other viable candidates would fill.

Nwobu-Alor, in a statement, expressed disgust at what he called the denial by Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State at the eleventh hour of the long-held claim that the preceding Peter Obi administration passed over N75 billion in cash and near cash assets to him.

Nwobu Alor, who was a second republic House of Assembly member, regretted that crass partisanship remained the bane of Nigerian politics, where party members looked the other way even when atrocities were being committed in the party.

He said: “Willie Obiano should not only account for the verifiable N75 billion bequeathed to his government by the former governor, Peter Obi, but should also account for the gargantuan allocations he has received from the Federation Account till date. “This is because indices on ground show that Willie is working woefully, hence the need for a change in the Anambra Government House in 2017 with Correction 2017.”

He said that it is unfair for the governor to claim that he had attracted Foreign Direct Investment of over $7.5 million in the state since 2014 given that according to him that there was nothing on ground to show for such a claim.
