The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has been declared the winner of the contest in Ebonyi State.
Obi garnered 259,738 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu, who came a distant second with 42,402 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, placed third with 13503 votes.
The results were announced at the Ebonyi Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Abakaliki, the capital of the State on Tuesday.
The Collation Officer for Ebonyi State, Prof Charles Igwe, who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) announced the final results.
