Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has advised the President Bola Tinubu-led government to leave entertainers, especially crossdressers out of the “polity” and face the urgent task of fixing Nigeria’s economy.
He gave the advice during a recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, while reacting to the saga involving embattled crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky.
According to the former Anambra State governor, Bobrisky and most of his colleagues started cross-dressing in a bid to survive the harsh economic reality they are facing.

He went on to argue that more men are likely to become crossdressers if the economy does not get better or if government’s policies start favouring women.
Speaking during the interview, Obi said,
“When somebody told me about Bobrisky, I said ‘listen, these are entertainers that should not be brought into the polity.’
“It’s entertainment. If today, our government decides to say fuel is now N800 per litre but N400 per litre for females, the number of men that will wear female dresses will surprise you.
“So, let’s deal with our problems.”
