“Peter Obi’s growing popularity is not because he talks better or behaves better than others, but because God is at the centre of the project and directing every other thing according to His will.”

All Obidients, professional groups, EndSars activists, and all others who buy into the Peter Obi vision of taking Nigeria back from spoilers and looters to ensure a better society must do door-to-door and market-to-market hustings in the grassroots.

It is through inter-personal communication the majority of Nigerians would hear, understand, comprehend, and embrace the “good plans,” advocates Joemartins Uzodike,  Anambra Coordinator of Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

He said the campaign must be done person-to-person in cities, in towns, and vin villages countrywide.

Uzodike, a former Anambra Information Commissioner, gave the counsel when he hosted members of Associates of Peter Obi (APO), a political pressure group, in his Awka-Etiti country home in Idemili South Council in the state.

APO is the umbrella body for members of different political groups supporting Obi for President and Datti for Vice President in 2023.

The PCC has adopted the door-to-door and market campaign strategy in Anambra for effective result, disclosed Uzodike, a longstanding political associate of Obi.

The Obi-Datti ticket is divine, he said, as seen in its huge national support across all social classes who are not bribed with money in the usual political manner.

“Peter Obi’s growing popularity is not because he talks better or behaves better than others, but because God is at the centre of the project and directing every other thing according to His will,” Uzodike stressed, per The PUNCH.

Obi suspends campaign to commiserate with flood victims

Peter Obi has, however, suspended his campaign to commiserate with three million flood victims across the country who have lost loved ones, homes, properties, and livelihoods in the unprecedented burst of waters gushed out by climate change.

He had planned to formally launch his run on 25 October, but that is now shelved, and he has urged Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and others also to suspend their campaigns to sympathise with flood victims, who are mostly the poor and the needy.

Obi announced the purse last week when he visited Benue Governor Samuel Ortom in Makurdi.

“As you can see today, flood is ravaging the entire country. And people are dying. People are being displaced,” he said.

“I personally stopped and told my people no more campaign until we are able to visit some of the sites, at least sympathise with those going through problems.
