The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vice Presidential candidate in the 2019 general election, Mr. Peter Obi, has condemned the attack of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) former governor, Prof Charles Soludo, and the killing of three of his aides by gunmen in Aguata, Anambra State, recently.

Obi, who made the condemnation in his twitter handle, also condemned political violence.

His words: “Political violence should have no place in the democratic process in Anambra State. The Ballot and not the Bullet should determine the outcome of our elections.”

Besides, he called on the government to step up security, while urging the security agencies to fish out the criminals and penalise them.

“Security needs to be stepped up, and the culprits fished out and prosecuted to serve as deterrents to copycats,” the former governor said.

Soludo is the governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the forthcoming governoship election in Anambra State.
