Obi beats Atiku in Ibori’s council, Okowa wins own for PDP

Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi has got 10,199 votes in Ethiope West Council to lead in Delta, against 5,463 for Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 3,850 for Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ethiope West is the Local Government Area of former Delta Governor James Ibori, a member of the PDP.
Obi has won three of the four councils so far announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Okowa wins his Ika North East council
Delta Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the vice presidential candidate of the PDP, won his Ika North East Council but lost Ika Federal Constituency to Obi, as reported by Vanguard.
Electoral Officer James Olisa announced Okowa won in Ika North East after polling 16,696 votes to beat Obi (8, 980) Tinubu (1,902).
Obi bounced back by taking a good lead in Ika South with 17,868 votes to beat Okowa (7,485) and Tinubu (3,290).
In Aniocha North, Obi got 11,678 votes, making it impossible for House of Representatives Minority Leader Ndudi Elumelu to deliver the council to Atiku, who came second with 3,783. Tinubu came third at 1,146 votes.
Obi took unprecedented lead with 14,929 votes in Oshimili North, the council area of Secretary to the State Government, Patrick Ukah, and Senator Peter Nwaoboshi of the APC.
Atiku scored 4,796 and Tinubu 1,688.
