Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has felicitated the publisher of Tell Magazine, Nosa Igiebor, on his 70th birthday.
Igiebor, Obaseki noted in a statement on Thursday, has made seminal contributions to the growth and development of the country.
The governor said, “I heartily congratulate you, dear friend, Nosa Igiebor, as you join the league of Nigeria’s septuagenarians.
“You rank among a select class of elders who have made seminal contributions to the growth and development of our country.

“As a veteran journalist, you have kept faith with the ethos of the profession, grooming many to toe the noble path of equity, fairness and balance.”
Obaseki added that from Igiebor’s early years he has held steadfast to the truth, leading to the setting up of TELL Magazine, which continues to stand for truth and justice.
“I celebrate your impactful contributions to the development of our country and wish you many more years in excellent health,” the governor noted.
In 1993, Igiebor won the International Press Freedom Award of the Committee to Protect Journalists for his magazine Tell’s coverage of Sani Abacha’s military rule.
