Former United States President, Barack Obama, is mourning the death of his grandmother, Sarah Ogwel Onyango Obama.
Sarah Onyango Obama is the mother of Barack Hussein Obama Snr, a Kenyan senior governmental economist and the father of former U.S. President, Barack Obama.
In a tweet, Obama, said his family was currently in mourning mood over the death of his grandmother.
He said: “My family and I are mourning the loss of our beloved grandmother, Sarah Ogwel Onyango Obama, affectionately known to many as “Mama Sarah” but known to us as “Dani” or Granny. We will miss her dearly, but we’ll celebrate with gratitude her long and remarkable life.”
