An NGO, Obafemi Oladapo Foundation, has donated relief packages to thousands of residents of Okeagbe Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government area of Ondo to cushion the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Items donated include several food, Face Masks, sanitisers and protective equipment.

The Founder, Mr Obafemi Oladapo at the weekend said that the donation of foods and other items was aimed at ameliorating the plight of the less privileged in the community.

“We are distributing these food items to ensure that those who cannot afford daily meal as a result of this hard period of Covid-19 pandemic are taken care of”, Oladapo noted.

Oladapo however said the foundation would extend similar gesture to other areas of his constituency in Akoko North West council in the state.

“I promise that other towns and villages within my constituency in  the local government will also benefit from this largesse in the coming days.

“And we are particular about the Old people, widows, orphans and indigents people in the villages because it is hard for them to make both ends meet,” he said.

He, therefore, advised the public to adhere to the guidelines and preventive measures as directed by the government and experts to curtail the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
