Nwagba pledges development to constituency

Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abia South, Hon. Blessing Nwagba, has urged her constituents to vote for her in the coming election based on her experience and outstanding performance as a former lawmaker at the Abia State House of Assembly.

Hon Nwagba made the pledge during her campaign rally in the Obingwa local government Area, of Abia State.

Nwagba said having represented them in the House of Assembly, and considering the bills, she presented on the floor of the house and motions moved, and those passed into law, they should trust her for a bigger performance of assignment at the federal level.

The former lawmaker said she has not only the experience but the capacity, courage, intellect and adequate skill set to do the job, promising to “deliver dividends of democracy for the constituency unfailingly”.

The former governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) said she would stop at nothing to ensure that “the entire zone, the youths, women, the less privileged, the children, the men as well as every other segments benefit adequately from my representation”.

Nwagba who is running in the same federal constituency with the state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu (PDP) and former Minority leader in the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe (APGA) said she is the candidate to beat given her general acceptance in the constituency.

According to her“ There is nothing to worry about. I remain the candidate to beat, I am the people’s choice and you can see how they have accepted me across the board. I will humble them at the polls because the women, the youths and our men see me as one that will deliver democratic dividends for our constituency.

“They know my capacity, they know that I am a goal-getter, they know my competence, the reason they believe in my candidacy”.

Nwagba also used the occasion to commiserate with the family of the late Prof Uche Ikonne, (PDP governorship candidate) and the PDP family, describing his death as shocking.

She said late Ikonne was a friend and brother whom she had personal dealings with on many occasions.

She, therefore, sends her heartfelt condolences to the wife, Barrister, Lady Uzoamaka Uche Ikonne and her children, praying that the Almighty grants them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
