Provost of Abia State College of Education (Technical) Arochukwu (ASCETA), Dr Philips O. Nto, has extolled the leadership style of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
He praised the governor for re-positioning the state for sustained growth.
Nto, a World Bank consultant, spoke in his Country-home, Ututu, when some PDP stakeholders paid him a courtesy call to celebrate the first year of the Governor’s second term, declaring that Ikpeazu has performed creditably in the last five years as governor.
He said that the efficient management of human and material resources by the governor has resulted in increased infrastructure and welfare of the people.
The provost said that ASCETA had also been a beneficiary of the purposeful governance of Ikpeazu as he has consistently released subventions to the college as well as taking care of its other needs.
He specifically commended the governor for his approval for the training by ASCETA of five persons from each local government as a means of empowering youths for self-employment.
Nto was also expressed happiness with the governor for directing the schedule of retired ASCETA staff for pensions, noting that it was the first time such would happen in the almost 30 years of existence of the institution.
He urged the stakeholders to continue to support the governor in his developmental strides so that the remaining three years of his administration will witness the provision of more infrastructure.
The leader of the delegation and former PDP Chairman in Arochukwu LGA, Hon Obinna Nwankwo, had said they visited the Provost to congratulate the governor on his first year in office in his second term.
Nwankwo pledged that the people of Ututu would continue to support the governor in appreciation of his appointment of their son as the provost of ASCETA.
