Nse Ikpe Etim speaks at TEDx event in Cyprus

Monday, May 25, dawned on actress Nse Ikpe Etim in Cyprus where she had been invited to make a speech at the TEDx event organised by The Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus.

 

The event held under the theme: ‘Simplify’, and Nse spoke about ‘The Impact of Nigerian Cinema’.

 

Prof. Halil Nadiri – The Vice Rector of Cyprus International University (A sister university to Eastern Mediterranean) also invited Nse to speak about ‘The role of internalisation of learning in promoting world peace and the benefits of cultural integration’. Nse’s husband, Clifford Sule, was a contributor at the event.

 

The Nigerian actress came into limelight in 2008 for her role in Reloaded. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the fifth and eighth Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for her role in Reloaded and Mr & Mrs, respectively. Last year, she won the Best Actress in a Drama award at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for playing “Nse” in Journey to Self.
