Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said nothing can replace the vacuum created by parents in the life of their children, and that parents are the most invaluable assets.
The former Vice President, who was reacting to the death of the mother of Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State in a statement by his media office in Abuja on Saturday, said he received the news with profound shock and grief.
As one who was an orphan at vulnerable age, Atiku said he could feel the pain of anyone else that loses parents at whatever stages of their lives.
He explained that he received the news of the demise of Yuguda’s mother with sympathy and empathy, adding that nobody could adequately pay back a parent for the sacrifices they made for their children.
According to the former Vice President, the loss of parents creates a huge vacuum because they are fountains of inspiration and guidance.
He therefore, prayed to Almighty God to grant Governor Yuguda and his family members the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and bless the soul of the deceased.
