Six months in the saddle, President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to fulfil even one of his 81 promises made to Nigerians, says former Governor of old Kaduna State, Balarabe Musa.

He also slammed Buhari on his anti-corruption fight, saying there is an alarmingly low conviction by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Musa told TheNiche in an exclusive interview that Buhari has not shown that he has anything new to offer.

Said he: “I am not impressed with his performance so far and we have no confidence that he will correct it. You need to change the political, social and economic structure tailored in the public interest.

“From my calculation, Buhari made 81 promises and not even a single one has been accomplished.”

He, however, expressed support for the anti-corruption crusade but noted that those hounded are “the unlucky ones” because “the entire exercise is a selective one. I am yet to see anybody that belongs to his party or camp that is under investigation.

“One would have expected that by now at least not less than 200 people should be under serious probe, including former heads of state, former governors, and local government chairmen, among other top notchers.”
