A month after quitting the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nollywood star, Kenneth Okonkwo, has officially joined the Labour Party ahead of the 2023 general election.

Okonkwo, a once staunch member of the APC, resigned from the party on July 12, following the decision of the presidential flag bearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to choose a fellow Muslim as running mate

The actor had initially canvassed support for the APC to zone the party’s presidential slot to the South East. After the choice of Tinubu as the flag bearer, the actor still remained a member of the party. But when Kashim Shettima was selected as Tinubu’s  running mate, he quits immediately.

On his Instagram page on Wednesday, Okonkwo shared pictures of himself with Labour Party executives in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
