Danny Welbeck says nobody can criticise his scoring record because he has been played out of position so often.
The striker was sold by Louis van Gaal in the last transfer window, with the Manchester United boss asserting that Welbeck didn’t match up to his other strikers when it comes to goals per game.

But the England international has enjoyed his start in North London, and hit his first career hat-trick in their Champions League win over Galatasaray.
The forward has been pleased with his contributions but says it is the result of getting game time in his preferred role.
“If you are getting goals and a run of games in your preferred position, your confidence will grow,” Welbeck said.
“Obviously people can say I have not scored enough goals, but you stick the best strikers on the wing in a four-man midfield and see if they score.
“Nobody can really criticise my finishing because they don’t really see me playing in a forward position too often.
“But now I am getting into these positions I want to be sticking the ball in the back of the net. I am sure it’s the same with every other striker.”
