No faction in Abia PDP – Onuigbo

The Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abia State chapter, Sir. Johnson Onuigbo, has dismissed rumour of any faction nor Sheriff PDP in the state. He maintained that Sheriff PDP was dead and buried in Abia.

The party chieftain, who spoke with The Niche in Umuahia, warned political detractors in the state to stay clear in the interest of peace as the state will no longer tolerate any further set back in the hands of political enemies of Abia.

He said that Abia PDP was a one united family that will never get separated despite struggles by political agents of darkness in the state.

Onuigbo who warned, “enough to any distraction,” lamented, “one year and three months of the present administration, Governor Ikpeazu has continued to be distracted by selfish politicians who are trying to enter Government House through back door.

According to him, despite series of litigations in the state, Okezie Ikpeazu and PDP have never deterred from their statutory functions butinstead vindicated by law, and described moves by Dr. Alex Otti and the recent case of Dr. Uche Ogah against Governor Ikpeazu as enemies and anti-democracy in action.

However, on Abia’s attainment age of 25 years, the state party chairman regretted the pull down syndrome by political class are major obstacles that faced the state within period under review, but remarked that Abia Silver jubilee age had recorded tremendous achievements under civilian democratic dispensation compared to military regime.

The party chairman urged the political stewards in the state to shield their swords and embrace peace with Governor Ikpeazu-led administration, contending that the state won’t record much success in isolation of unity and support of Abians.

Onuigbo added that the state had advanced further in the area of security, road projects, healthy education and unity across board under Ikpeazu watch.
