Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer asks govt to stop violating court order

Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer has asked the federal government to stop disrespecting court orders.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who is the lead counsel to the leader of the outlawed Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), has called on the federal government to make his client available in court today to face his trial.

According to Daily Trust, the counsel stated this in Abuja on Wednesday during a world press conference, said since the Director of Public Prosecution of the federation has filed a seven-count amended charge with an affidavit of completion of the investigation, there was no excuse to act contrary.

He lamented that after his client was brought to court on June 29 without his lawyer’s knowledge, the government failed to produce him on July 26 when the matter came up, adding that such action violated the court order made by Justice Binta Nyako.

The lawyer advised security agents deployed to the court to be civil in their conduct to the civilians and lawyers who throng to the court in solidarity.

He also called on his client’s supporters to remain civil in their conduct.
