Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has told her teammates that there is no room for complacency when they face the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon on Friday in the 2024 Olympics qualifier, insisting they must brace up for a tough test.

The third round first leg contest of the match will hold at the Stade de la Reunification, Douala and the Super Falcons are eyeing a return to the Olympics after failing to qualify for the last three editions.

Speaking ahead of the game, Nnadozie advised her teammates to get prepared for a difficult duel.

“It’s a very tough encounter awaiting us against Cameroon.

“They’re a very good team, composed of very experienced players. We need to be cautious, but I have great confidence in my team.” the Paris FC goalie told FIFA.com.

The Nigerian team have a better head-to-head record against their harsh rival.

Randy Waldrum’s side also defeated the Indomitable Lionesses 1-0 the last time both teams met at the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.

However, despite the head-to-head advantage, Nnadozie feels the Super Falcons still “need to stay focused, train harder, work harder, and stick together”.

“We shouldn’t dwell on our past victories against them.

“We need to stay focused, train harder, work harder, and stick together. By doing so, we can beat them, I believe,” she added.
