President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba, has announced plans to shut down Kaduna State following failed negotiation with the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
Wabba told journalists after the union’s National Executive Council meeting that the congress was forced to take the decision after exhausting all avenues to resolve the issue amicably.
The NLC president said despite letters written to President Muhammadu Buhari and Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, it yielded no positive result.
The labour leader said mobilization was already underway to resume the suspended mass action.
