NIPR inducts Chastest Consult Strategy Director, others during Diamond Jubilee
In a momentous occasion coinciding with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) 60th anniversary celebration, 605 new members were inducted into the esteemed organization.
Among them was Mr. Ini Archibong, Strategy Director at Chastest Consult Limited, a leading marketing and innovation consultancy known for its cutting-edge approach.
The induction ceremony, held on Thursday June 20, 2024, at the NTA Arena, Garki Abuja, marked a significant chapter for both Archibong and Chastest Consult.
The event was part of a week-long celebration culminating in an International Colloquium, on June 20, 2024.
Chastest Consult Limited has carved a distinct niche in Nigeria’s marketing communications landscape. The company bridges the gap between high-level consultancies and creative agencies, providing clients with comprehensive solutions that deliver lasting value.
Boasting an impressive client roster that includes Shoprite, Champions Brewery, Project Management Institute, and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Archibong expressed his honour at joining the NIPR.
“At Chastest Consult, our core values have always aligned with the NIPR’s mission of fostering effective communication between organizations and their stakeholders,” Archibong remarked.
“This induction signifies not only a personal achievement but also our unwavering commitment to excellence and ethical conduct in public relations,” he added.
The ceremony served as a platform for Archibong to advocate for maintaining the highest ethical standards in the PR industry.
“It is imperative that we, as PR professionals, safeguard the integrity of our profession,” he asserted. “This necessitates actively discouraging unqualified practitioners and consistently delivering work that fosters positive change for our clients and society as a whole.”
The event was graced by Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi, Minister of Information and National Orientation who was represented by Mr. Jibril Baba Ndace, Director-General of Voice of Nigeria.
The Minister’s address highlighted the government’s recognition of public relations as a cornerstone of national development.
“Public relations practitioners play a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s image both domestically and internationally,” the Minister’s speech emphasized.
“We urge all NIPR members to collaborate with the government in advancing our national interests and promoting unity within our diverse populace.”
Dr. Ike Neliaku, NIPR President, outlined the Institute’s vision for the coming years. “As we celebrate six decades of excellence, we must also set our sights on the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead,” Dr. Neliaku stated.
“Our focus will be on harnessing technology, amplifying professional development opportunities, and advocating for ethical communication practices across all sectors,” he added.
The ceremony also witnessed the induction of other notable figures, including Hon. Akintunde Rotimi, House Committee Chairman on Public Affairs, solidifying NIPR’s growing influence in shaping public discourse and policy.
