A Nigerian man, Michael Asiwaju, has released nude photos of women he allegedly slept with, whom he said are now blackmailing him on Twitter and wants to extort money from him.
He was accused of raping the women after getting them drunk. A couple of people on social media have confirmed that it is his stock in trade.
He has since denied the allegations and said he is being blackmailed because he is rich.
“Nigerians are wicked, once they see a young man doing well do everything to destroy him… in a single father my son will not live to regret his life Cos I have made money for him.. even if I die he will live happily,” Asiwaju said on Twitter.
He said women send him nude photos on Twitter because he is rich and want to share in his money and when they fail to get it, they resort to blackmailing him.
But Nigerians would have none of it. They say there is truth in what they women have alleged.
“If anyone justifies the Asiwaju of a guy then I won’t be wrong when I say there’s nothing left of this generation. Why would you because you are rich take advantage of girls. Get them to do dirty and naughty stuff before they will have a slice of your money. Asiwaju is a molester,” said Smart on Twitter.
A story on Premium Times, a Nigerian newspaper, in 2017 linked Asiwaju to a rape case involving one Linda, an undergraduate of University of Ilorin.
According to Linda, she met Asiwaju on Instagram. He allegedly took her nude photos and threatened to send them to her father unless she agrees to have sex with him.
She alleged that after she succumbed to his blackmail, he, unknown to her, made a video of them making love and used the video to further blackmail her into sleeping with him repeatedly.
She reported the matter to the police who told her to lure Asiwaju to Ilorin.
According to the paper, Asiwaju was lured to Ilorin by Linda and subsequently arrested by the police. He escaped from police custody when they led him to go search his hotel room.
Asiwaju accused the policeman, Ajayi Okesanmi, of extorting the sum of $2,000 from him. Okesanmi denied the allegation prompting the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to order an investigation into the matter.
