“I do like to feel the ball, but I’m also very aggressive in pressing and in following my opponents. So, I can certainly play with our coach’s game system,” he told the club’s official website.

The 25-year-old went on to say the move also suits him because he has played at the highest level and second division of the Portuguese League in the past.

He added, “For me, this is another good new step in my career. In previous seasons, I played in Portugal; in both first and second divisions. My goal is to play at the highest level with Beerschot again as soon as possible.”

Ibrahim started his professional career with the local side, Wikki Tourists, in 2016, before signing for Akwa United the same year.

The Nigerian International after leaving Akwa United two years later moved to Austrian giants, Austria Vienna in 2017, before linking up with CD Nacional the following season.

Alhassan Ibrahim has been capped by the Nigerian senior team twice, he also played for the Flying Eagles 4 times but has failed to record a goal or an assist at both levels.
