Nigerian  Maritime varsity to begin academic activities

Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State, the first maritime university in the country, is to begin academic activities with  the take-off of degree program for the 2017/2018 session as approved by the National University Commission  (NUC ).

A statement by the Registrar, N. E . L Anho, urged prospective candidates who sat for the 2017/2018 University Tertiary Matriculation (UTME) to apply.

According to the statement, three faculties had been listed, which include: Transport, Engineering and Environmental Management.

It added that applicants must have scored 200 marks in the UTME and must have obtained five credits in relevant subjects in SSCE or its equivalent in not more than two sittings.

It further noted that eligible candidates are to complete an online undergraduate admission form by logging into the official website of the Nigerian Maritime University www.nmu.edu.ng

The statement added that the closing date for the application is Friday 23 February 2018, stressing that  admission into Basic Studies programmers is also available and urged interested applicants  to register online  on or before March 16, 2018.
