Nigerian biker from London denied entry into Cote D’Ivoire

Nigerian biker, Kunle Adeyanju, is stranded at the border of Coted D’Ivoire with Mali after the country denied him entry.

Adeyanju is on a charitable ride from London to Nigeria to raise money towards aiding the fight against polio and other health debilitating conditions.

On his bike ride from London  to Nigeria, Adeyanju has crisscrossed many countries including Gibraltar, Morocco, Mauritius, Senegal, Mali and now Cote D’Ivoire where he has been denied entry.

In an update shared via his Twitter page on Sunday, the adventurer said he was refused entry at the border of the country despite traveling 400 km to get there.

Hear him: “Denied entry into Cote D’Ivoire, had to turn back….. Sad! Nigerian embassies on it.

“Hard day! Just got back. After riding 400km to the border, denied entry into Cote D’Ivoire because I refused to…. Sad! As often said ‘there are a thousand and one ways to go round Egypt’ Egypt here denoting a challenge. We will solve the challenge and get back on course!”

It s not clear what Adeyanju meant when he implied that he was not allowed into the Cote D’Ivoire because he refused to do something.

Adeyanju had earlier said the bike trip was to help raise funds toward sustaining Africa’s polio-free status. He also disclosed that his target is to raise the sum of N20 million.

The bike rider started the journey, which is expected to take 25 days, from April 19.
