Chances of Nigeria qualifying for round of 16 in the ongoing World Cup in Russia got brighter on Friday, June 22, 2018, as the West African country defeated Iceland 2-0 after losing the first match to Croatia.
With Ahmed Musa’s second half two goals, and a penalty miss by Iceland, Nigeria now has three points from two matches.
It plays Argentina in its final group match next week.
Argentina has one point from two matches.
