Nigeria Deaf Federation pick November 10 for games

As part of preparation for the 3rd Annual National Deaf Games, Nigeria Deaf Federation (NDF) has announced November 10 to 22 for the 2014 edition of the games coming up in the federal capital, Abuja.

According to the Secretary General of the federation, Mr. Lukmon Agbabiaka who made this known to our correspondent in Lagos on Wednesday, this year’s edition will be an epoch making event where more talents will be discovered in their respective area of specialization who will in turn be doing their country, Nigeria proud in the nearest future.

“Regardless of our status in the society and the impending challenges, it will not be out of place to say that we’re making progress as far as sports is concerned in Nigeria with relatively blazing victory and records to show for it.

“We’ll not rest on our oars but rather continue to explore in order to take our rightful place in the society where and when necessary,” he said

However, he poured encomium on National Sports Commission (NSC), for their unflinching support the federation has been enjoying since the inception of the games while he also use the medium to make a passionate appeal to corporate individuals and organisations in the country to support in their own little way in order to achieve the target goal.

Meanwhile, Athletic, Badminton, Basketball, Table Tennis and football are the five major events where the participants will be battling one another for supremacy when the start in earnest.
