Nick Jr, Nicktoons going strong on DStv

Since Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa broadened its entertainment offering on DStv across Africa with the launch of two new 24-hour kids and family channels, Nick Jr, Nicktoons, from Nickelodeon, the two channels have been going strong.

 

With the launch of Nick Jr. and Nicktoons since September 30, VIMN Africa now delivers a total of eight distinct entertainment brands.

 

This expansion of its portfolio, which also includes MTV, MTV Base, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and VH1 Classic, increases VIMN Africa’s offering of high quality content to audiences across all key age demographics.

 

For kiddies’ entertainment, Nick Jr. on DStv Premium, Compact Plus and Compact bouquets provides safe and entertaining viewing reinforcing positive messaging to pre-schoolers between the ages of three and five.

 

This channel promises to keep the young ones glued to their screens with familiar friends such as Dora the Explorer, Bubble Guppies, Go, Diego, Go! and Paw Patrol, with a host of brand new series due to launch in 2015, including Dora and Friends, Blaze and the Monster Machines, and Shimmer and Shine.

 

Additionally, Nicktoons will offer a mix of current and classic programmes appealing to both the four to nine years age group and the entire family. It will feature series from Nickelodeon´s famous animation library including The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, T.U.F.F. Puppy, Back to the Barnyard, Avatar, and Fanboy and Chum Chum, and timeless favourites such as Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys.
