Ngige promises more infrastructure to Ezu River communities

The Senatorial candidate of APC for Anambra central senatorial district, Senator Chris Nwabueze Ngige 00N has lamented and frowned at vindictive posturing of the immediate past governor of Anambra state, Chief Peter Obi for refusing to continue the on-going road construction from Amansea to ugbene, Oba-ofemmili with a spur to Ugbene.

Sen. Chris Ngige

Addressing teeming party supporters of APC in a tumultuous reception at Oba-ofemmili, in Awka North local government area, the Deputy Chairman of the Senate Comiittee on Power noted that, as a governor he factored in the age-long neglect of Awka North in infrastructural development and awarded the contract for the reconstruction of the road and bridge so as to open up the food producing areas to up-lift their living standard.

Virtually all communities in Awka North LGA are watered by the famed Ezu River which takes its source from Enugu State and fees the agrarian committees of Anambra State, darining into the Anambra River at Otuocha.

Similarly Ngige noted that it was for similar reasons that Awka North became the highest beneficiary of transformers and scholarship under his constituency projects as senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, which a functional constituency office .

Senator Chris Ngige frowned at the low pace of the road construction even when it took many years for the immediate past government to resume work on the critical road.

He promised to construct roads in the council area if he would be re-elected to the senate come March, 28, 2015 general election and appealed to the people to vote APC candidates in the elections since the party standard bearer means well for the country.

Addressing the mammoth crowd earlier in Ugbenu and Ugbene communities, the APC candidate for Anambra state House of Assembly, Barr. Cyprain Madukife, appealed to his people to appreciate the public oriented political orientation of Senator Chris Ngige who gave each community of the council area 2-4 500 KVA electric transformers and scholarship awards to secondary and university students in spite of the fact that the people did not given him majority votes in 2011 senatorial election.

Senator Chris Ngige further promised the people more scholarships, free education of APC led federal government and energizing the electricity in the area which has been neglected by the PDP led federal government due to massive corruption which the APC led federal government will tackle ferociously.
