Ndidi set to leave Leicester as Everton close in on midfielder

Ndidi scored four goals and provided five assists in 32 league appearances for Leicester City in the Championship last season

Everton are in pole position to sign Nigerian international, Wilfred Ndidi who is available for signing on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old will become a free agent at the end of this month having failed to agree a new contract with the newly promoted Leicester City.

Everton, Monaco, Olympic Lyon and Olympic Marseille are among the clubs vying for his signature.

However, according to Football Insider, Everton are now ahead of the queue as they are in advanced negotiation with the midfielder’s representative.

Ndidi has also reportedly accepted to join the Merseysiders.

The Toffees are desperate to add Ndidi’s quality and experience to their midfield next season.

He has so far played 192 Premier League games for Leicester City.
