NCAC salutes Ikechi Uko’s win of Africa Tourism Award

The National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) has hailed Ikechi Uko, the tourism and hospitality veteran who recently clinched the 2017 MICE East Africa’s Tourism and Hospitality Personality Award in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
 
Director General of the NCAC, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe said Uko’s honour was well deserved given his tourism and hospitality works in Africa.
 
Uko is the organiser of the annual Akwaaba African Travel market exhibitions in Lagos, the Bantaba in Abuja and Port Harcourt. He is also the publisher of Africa Travel Quarterly Magazine (ATQ).
 
Uko earned the recognition as a result of his drive, commitment and passion for the growth and development of the hospitality sector both in Nigeria and Africa for many decades.
