Reprieve has come the way of the skit comedian, Abdulgafar Ahmad, popularly known as Cute Abiola, who was incarcerated for breaking the service code.

The comedian was taken in on November 15, 2021, after he resumed his duties after observing his annual leave.

Naval spokesperson, Commodore Suleman Dahun, made this known in a statement the naval authority released on Friday.

Dahun however, added that the 25-year-old  is currently serving his punishment for violating the armed forces’ service code.

” The funnyman is no longer in the naval detention as he has been released to serve his punishment,” he said.

Cute Abiola was declared missing on Monday, November 15, 2021, by fellow comedian, Mr. Macaroni, who said his wife and associates have not heard from him since he reported for work the same day.

However,  Naval spokesperson, Dahun, responded two days later saying he was not missing but in their custody for willfully violating the armed forces’ social media service code.

He also said the naval personnel who doubles as a comedian failed to answer a summons to explain why he broke the service rule. He added that he was detained when he returned from leave.

This is not the first time the comedian will be arrested for the same offense, he was arrested in 2020, after his birthday pictures in Navy uniform went viral. He was later released on May 4, 2020.
