Ahead of the 2019 general election, Niger State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship standard bearer, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Nasko, has advised youths in the state not to allow frustrations push them into selling their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs) or take to crime to survive the economic hardship.

Nasko also assured the electorate, women and youths in particular that he would not take them for granted but lead a government that would focus on the collective interest of all Nigerlites devoid of religious, tribal and political bias if voted next governor of the state.

He spoke, while receiving youths from the three senatorial zones of the state on a solidarity visit at his campaign office in Minna, the state capital. He said; ‘‘I will ensure that no part of Niger State is marginalised in the sharing of dividends of democracy.

“Every law-abiding citizen of Niger State is as important as any other. I can assure you that I will run an open government where every man or woman, young or old will have a say and also contribute to the day to day administration of the state”.

Against fears of marginalization or discrimination along religious, tribal and political inclinations, Nasko assured: “I will give equal attention to all parts of the state. My agenda will also be to reunite every law-abiding Nigerlite so that together we can move the state forward”.
