Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly are thought to have fled from Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital in order to perfect the ongoing impeachment moves against Governor Tanko Umaru Al-Maluka.
Umaru Al-Makura
Sources, who have kept vigil at Lafia told The Niche that the lawmkaers have relocated to a location in Karu Local Government so as to ensure their safety and escape pressure being mounted from several quarters.
Top on the list of matters before the members of the state’s legislative house is a petition against the state’s chief Judge, Suleiman Dikko, regarding the composition of the seven-member panel raised to investigate allegations against Governor TankoUmaru Al-Makura.
The main reason for the lawmaker’s relocation from Lafia is not unconnected to the widespread protests across the state against the impeachment process.
