Serie A league leaders, Napoli are probably a win away from claiming the Italian league trophy they last won over three decades ago after returning to winning ways against Juventus.
Prior to the 1-0 win over The Old Lady, Spalletti’s men have won only one out of their last 5 matches in all competitions, as they lost twice Against AC Milan, won against Lecce and drew with Verona and AC Milan.
Thousands of joyous Napoli fans greeted the team early Monday as they returned from their victory over Juventus, which brought the prospect of a historic Serie A title within touching distance.
Supporters flew banners and flags and sang songs as the team arrived shortly before 3:00 am (0100 GMT) at Naples-Capodichino Airport from Turin.

The Parthenopeans’ 1-0 triumph at Juventus on Sunday left the Naples club 17 points clear of the second placed Lazio at the top of the Serie A table.
They will be crowned champions for the first time since 1990 this weekend, if they beat regional rivals Salernitana on Saturday, and Inter Milan avoid a home defeat against Lazio on Sunday.
On Sunday after the crucial win, Napoli manager, Luciano Spalletti sounded a note of cushion, warning it wasn’t yet time to start celebrating, noting that “we still have a little way to go”.
