Nigerian human rights lawyer and former aide of President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari, for impoverishing the citizens of Nigeria
He made his feeling known in a recent tweet on his verified Twitter handle, where he claimed the Naira is now so worthless, that the Zimbabwean dollar is much stronger.
He went further to state that under the watch of the current president, the country has reached such a dire state, that a lesser endowed country like Zambia, is offering to help Nigeria win the insurgency war.
He ended by saying the Nigerian number one citizen, despite all these, went to the UN to boast that he is doing a great job.
“The Zimbabwean dollar is now worth more than the Naira. To add salt to injury, Zambia is offering Nigeria technical assistance to help fight insecurity. And Buhari went to the UN to boast that he made Nigeria great? Well, he is right. He has made us great beggars!.” He tweeted.
Omokri quoted Vanguard Newspaper as the source of his information in the tweet, despite not stating the date of the publication.
Nigerians have taken to their social media platforms to comment on his tweet, while some of them agreed with him and hoped for a way out, others saw him as one of those responsible for the woes of the country.
