My Dream is to win gold for Nigeria at Olympics, says teenage 100m runner, Isioma

Sprinter, Favour Isioma representing Delta State in AthIetics has revealed that her lifelong ambition is to participate in the Olympics and win gold for Nigeria.

The Agbo-born athlete who is competing in 100m athletics, narrated her love for the track&field which prompted her desire to represent her state.

“I have liked this sport since my childhood and I was invited also to join a proper setup for athletics and it’s just barely three months since I started.

“Then I was told that we have a U-15 youth outing and that we should submit our NIN and some certificates which we did and here I am.

“I love this really and there’s no way to express my passion for the sport. Aside from competing, it keeps me healthy also,” she added.

On her personal ambition, “I have a very big target for myself, after this U-15, I’m not coming here again because I’m training harder to go for the U-17 competition and the target is to travel and participate in AthIetics competitions abroad.

“I want to win gold at the Olympics someday and it’s through training and hard work because it’s beyond mere words. By God’s grace and prayer for strength, I know I can achieve that someday, everything will come to pass,” Isioma assures.
