Ekl Recordz, a talent development focused record label, has released two EP’S from the list of its current artists.
In a statement from the label, the artists are namely Willie Workman and Gladz Hope, a new signee of the label.
Both EPs were released in July 2023.
Workman’s EP is titled “Decarbonize,” a climate change influenced track about youths’ understanding and fears about the degrading pace of our environment and the dangers it portends to their future. The song also frowns at doubting Thomases who see the climate change damaging effects as a hoax.
Other songs in the EP include Goodness of God cover, An Ode for Mother Nature and two instrumentals.

Workman is a seasoned actor, lyrical poet, award winning filmmaker, voice over artist, music video/ documentary director whose works have spanned over 28 years.
Some of his production credits include a documentary for Ports and Terminal Operations Nig Ltd, Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc, Emzor Pharmaceutical Plc, Shonibare Estates Ltd, and the OSUN OSHOGBO festival, music videos-Carry Go Featuring Vector Tha Rapper and Mano Ezoh, Na Only You (by Adestiks) What You Go Do (by Jay Harmoni) and My Love (by Pendy) and many others.
He has also directed and produced a TV and Radio commercial which includes Dozzy Power flow lubricant, and more.
His recent award includes Mother Nature music video as best climate change video at The UNIFIED Filmfreeway Festival held in Germany, while his movie making effort won him The Widows Son and The Plastic Collector a short film on plastic pollution.
In his view as a humanitarian and climate change activist, Willie Workman who also loves working with children and the less privileged, said: “For me I will keep using visuals through the lens of a camera as a filmmaker and musician with no option than bringing some of this societal ills to public knowledge by informing, educating, entertaining and suggesting possible solutions in interms of accessing help, prevention and inclusion in the scheme of things as it relates in the daily lives of people considering lives challenges.”
Gladys Obekpa whose stage name is Gladz Hope is a gospel artist from Benue State.
She displayed her love for music from an early age. While growing up she listened to the likes of Panam Percy Paul, Late Joe Akatu, Cece Winas, Don Moen and Sinach.
Gladz Hope has been enjoying a lot of rave reviews since the release of her EP tagged: ‘He Has Done It.’
She is also a fashion designer with a diploma holder from Benue State Polytechnic. Her hobbies are dancing, acting, and singing
