Abdulkarim Asuku’s mum was whisked away by the gunmen while praying inside a mosque located in her house
Mrs Seriya Raji, the mother of Abdulkarim Jamiu Asuku, the Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, has been kidnapped.
It was gathered that gunmen invaded her residence in Adavi Local Government Area of the State on Monday night and whisked her away.
An eyewitness said the gunmen struck moments after she observed her evening (Ishai) prayer in a mosque within the house located at Inese/Ovakere new layout in Nagazi community in Adavi LGA.
According to the source, the abductors were about 6 in number and wore masks to conceal their identities.
They were also dressed in black suites holding ‘Ghana Must Go bag’ suspected to have contained some guns and other dangerous weapons

The eyewitness added that the armed men entered her house through the mosque and took her away to an unknown location.
The family said that they have been contacted since the incident, which happened a few weeks after Kogi State Commissioner for Environment, Adewale Omofaiye, escaped being kidnapped.
According to Daily Trust, William Aya, spokesman of the Kogi State Police Command, is yet to respond to inquiries made in respect of the kidnap
A security source however, confirmed the incident adding that, tactical squad have been deployed to the area.
