Popular skit maker and rights activist Mr Macaroni has reiterated his opposition to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, insisting he will continue to snub him, even though he is the Governor of Lagos, Nigeria’s richest and most populous state, because he masterminded his police detention and brutalisation during EndSars agitation.

Macaroni stood his ground in clapping back at an X user @OyesileJohn who called him out for ignoring Sanwo-Olu.

“To d’ifa fun a certain Macarroni who, in an attempt to please the mob, snubbed the governor of Lagos state. Omo ase,” @OyesileJohn posted on X (Twitter).

The post has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many defending Macaroni for sticking to his values.

Macaroni, in response to @OyesileJohn, posted on X: “I will continue to snub your Governor. He doesn’t mean anything to me, neither do you or your father. I love that you slaves bring this issue up all the time.

“For every time you do, I will send you to your masters.”

Macaroni insisted that he can never mingle with the government that “stripped me naked, beat, tortured, brutalized and dehumanized me” during the EndSars protest in 2020.

He said, at the time, he was told by the police to “stop disturbing the governor.”

Sanwo-Olu later went on to deny and reject findings by the EndSars Panel he set  up that youths who protested peacefully at Lekki toll gate in Lagos were killed by soldiers.

It emerged that the troops removed the corpses and scrubbed the blood stains on the ground to cover up the crime.

CNN described the killings as a massacre, with forensic evidence as proof, but Muhammadu Buhari’s then-Information Minister Lai Mohammed laughed if off  as “massacre without bodies” and threatened to sue the broadcaster over the report.
