Lawan in a statement appreciated friends and colleagues, who mourned with the family

The Immediate past President of the Nigerian Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan has announced the death of his mother, Hajiya Halima (Baba) Ibrahim.
Her demise was revealed via a statement issued and made available to journalists on Saturday by Lawan’s Media Adviser, Ezrel Tabiowo.
According to him, Senator Lawan’s beloved mother passed on Saturday, October 14, at her residence in Gashu’a town, Bade local government area of Yobe State.
He also stated that the mother of the legislator currently representing Borno North Senatorial District in the Red Chamber died at the age of 86.

The former Senate President in the announcement also expressed his appreciation to friends and colleagues, who supported and mourned with the family.
“Senator Ahmad Lawan appreciates the outpouring of love and support already received from friends, relatives, and colleagues”, it statement read.
Tabiowo further said the late Hajiya Halima Ibrahim will be buried according to Islamic rites on Sunday, October 15, at Gashu’a town by 11am.
