The monarch of Obosi community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igwe Chidubem Iweka III, has assured that he would eradicate all forms of criminality in his kingdom.
He described Obosi as a haven for drug peddlers, kidnappers, and cultists because it is on the centre of two highways and a by-pass, stressing that criminals have easy access to penetrate the community.
He disclosed this in his palace when journalists paid him a visit.
Igwe Chidubem said that his kingship was unique because he was a crime fighter, and most challenge he is facing now is the menace of erosion that had turned the community into two parts, “the area is prone to erosion due to its topography.”
He pledged support to Governor Willie Obiano’s policy on security and urged the judiciary not to be biased while administering criminal justice.
He commended the state government of Chief Willie Obiano for his efforts to ensure that Obosi is developed and upgrading of Anambra State College of Health Technology in Obosi.
He appealed to the state government to revamp Obosi market system and structures, and address the menace of erosion in the area.
He called on Nigerians to embrace confedralism as that is the only government system that will benefit all and sustain the unity of the nation.
He advised Nigerians to avoid nepotism, ethnicity, segregation and have zero-tolerance to corruption which he described as a visible virus that had eaten deep into Nigerians and the people should be re-oriented, stressing that Civics should be taught in schools to awaken younger generation on the evil of corruption.
