Omowunmi said her father-in-law believes she was the one who drove a wedge between him and his late son

Omowunmi Aloba, the wife of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has revealed how the relationship between her and her father-in-law, Oladimeji Aloba went south.
According to the mother of one, her relationship with Mohbad’s father was very cordial until the birth of her son, Liam.
Testifying during the Lagos crooner inquest on Tuesday, Omowunmi, said Mr Aloba became hostile toward her after her late husband decided not to hold their son’s naming ceremony in Ikorodu.
She also said her father-in-law believes she was the one who drove a wedge between him and his late son.

Speaking while answering questions from the coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, she narrated how the drift with Mohbad’s father began.
“I used to have a very good relationship with my father-in-law before the birth of my son, Liam. In fact, I used to invite him to our house on many occasions.
“But because Mohbad was angry with him over some of the things he was doing and his refusal to hold our son’s naming ceremony in Ikorodu, he became angry with me, thinking I was the one behind it all.
“So he became my enemy and was not talking to me like before,” Omowunmi stated.
