The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), says popular skit maker, Sunday Joshua, also known as De-General, was arrested for being in possession of tramadol and other illicit drugs.
Operatives of the NDLEA in the early hours of Wednesday, January 12, arrested De-General. after a raid at a drug joint at Orchid Estate in the Lekki area of Lagos state.
NDLEA in a statement, said they trailed the suspects from the drug joints to s house located at 2B Saula Akinlolu way, Orchid estate, which is the residence of 22-year-old De General. The young lads in his house were reported to have initially resisted a search of the premises but were overwhelmed by men of the NDLEA who initiated the search and found drugs in the home.
The arrest of De-General has generated mixed reactions on Twitter.
On Twitter, @realkelvin said: “Anybody that thinks Buba Marwa is playing at NDLEA should think again, I’m begging young people, there’s nothing like settlement with the NDLEA under this man, Stay on the right side of the law, don’t do drugs.”

But @mrmacaroni said:”NDLEA!!! OLEEE!!! Barawoooo!!!! So you people’s work is to be entering people’s houses in the middle of the night to be beating and harassing citizens. This is happening right now. We don’t know where they have taken him to. Oppressors everywhere!!!”
Mr Macaroni was countered by @fattylincornn who argued that the NDLEA could not have raided the home of De-General without an intel. The tweet reads: “Macaroni why are u always trying to malign all our security agency anytime they are on duty? Do u mean NDLEA should have notify those guys that they are coming before bursting them? Don’t you know there must have been an info before they can come to that house. Oo serious rara.”
@O_ssai said: “These clowns are saying NDLEA should have written to the guy that they were coming…. so they should have written or call him to tell him they were coming to search his house for drugs…..”
@VillageParrot said: “Nigeria is heading to a point where armed robbers would dress in EFCC or NDLEA uniforms and invade people’s homes in the middle of the night.”
