The Nigerian Minister of State for Health, Dr. Olurunnimbe Mamora, has appealed to Nigerians to take the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines for the overall health of the country.
He made the appeal, while unveiling the KilRox range of alcohol disinfectant wipes of Saftermobo Nigeria Limited at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
Momora, who said that the product came out timely to boost hygiene and COVID-19 protocols, disabused the minds of people about AstraZeneca Vaccines, describing it as the best among all the vaccines in the market.
He urged Nigerians to take the vaccines for their health and the health of the entire country.
Reacting to the remark by the Chief Executive Officer of Saftermobo Nigeria Limited, Chief Nnamdi Nwokike, who introduced Mr. Peter Obi as the best Governor, being the governor of his state [Anambra], where he observed firsthand what he did as governor, which made all men of goodwill to look up to him for inspiration, Mamora disagreed with him.
Momora said that in classifying Obi as the best Governor that people should go beyond Anambra State.
His words: “He was not the best because he was Governor of your state, but because he remained the most prudent governor ever.
“When I was in the Senate, I met him at the airport or travelled in the same plane with him severally. One thing that distinguished him from others of his status is prudence in all he does: travelling economy even as the governor, carrying his own bag and travelling with minimum aides – one or two.”
Besides, the Chairman of the company, Sen. Ben Obi, thanked everybody that came and promised that quality shall remain the watchword of the company.
In his remarks, Mr. Peter Obi said that he was happy being part of the event, seeing Nigerians making honest efforts thereby contributing to the growth of the economy of the country. The event was attended by the Chairman, Senate Committee of Health, Sen. Yahaya Ibrahim; the Health Committee Chairman of the House of Representatives, Dr. Paschal Obi; former Minister of Health, Prof. ABC Nwosu; former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Tom Ikimi; former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Chief Dubem Onyia; former Governor of Edo State, Chief Lucky Igbenidion; among many others.
