Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Football Club of Lagos has congratulated former players, Joshua Enaholo and Ifeanyi George, for winning the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with Enyimba Football Club of Aba last Sunday.
While George joined the Aba millionaires at the start of the season, Enaholo, who was Nigeria’s first choice goalkeeper at the U-20 FIFA World Cup in New Zealand, left for Enyimba in July.
A delighted Enaholo was the first to put a call through to his former coaches and colleagues after his new team won the league crown at the end of a pulsating goalless draw with Warri Wolves at Aba Township Stadium.
MFM FC Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, was elated that less than three months at Enyimba, Enaholo has a premier league medal to his credit.
Said he: “It was difficult watching Enaholo leave for Enyimba but he had to move up in his career. I am happy today that he is a champion.
“I am also happy for Ifeanyi George. But for injury, he would’ve been playing regularly for his new club.”
Speaking on behalf of his team mates, MFM FC Captain, Nelson Kenedinum, said: “Everyone is happy for Enaholo and George.
“How I wish they can come back and help us take the premier league by storm next season.”
Enaholo, who joined Enyimba FC in July from MFM FC, has played three consecutive games against Giwa FC, Dolphins, and El Kanemi.
George was snapped up by Enyimba at the beginning of the season.
The midfielder, who featured regularly for the seven-time NPFL champions earlier in the season, is presently nursing an injury.
