Argentina captain, Lionel Messi suffered his first defeat since signing for Major League Soccer (MLS) side, Inter Miami after his team were beaten 5-2 by Atlanta United on Saturday.
Although Messi did not feature in the game as he was left out of the matchday squad, the defeat is the only loss Inter Miami have recorded since the 36-year-old joined them from PSG.

With the victory, the Atlanta based outfit are now sixth on the MLS Eastern Conference log table.
Speaking after the game, Inter Miami manager, Gerardo “Tata” Martino explained that Messi and Jordi Alba missed the game due to “muscular fatigue.”
