Liverpool legend, Steve McManaman has said that Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka would fit into the Manchester City squad if he joins the Premier League champions in the future.

The former England international, however, thinks the move will not see the light of the day, as he would be surprised if the Citizens ended up signing the 20-year-old.

Saka, who has been key in Arsenal’s rise to the top of the Premier League this season, has been linked with a transfer move to rivals,  Manchester City on several occasions.

The English international also has two more years on his current contract at the Emirates.

“I don’t know if Manchester City will be able to sign Bukayo Saka,” McManaman told horseracing.net.

“The relationship between the two clubs seems strong due to the fact that Manchester City let Arsenal sign Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus.

“He is a young and very talented English player. I would be very surprised if they could get him, to be honest.

“He is an excellent player and he’s got experience in the Premier League, so he could probably fit in their team right away.”

McManaman also said it will be a big blow if Manchester City lose their star player, Bernando Silva next summer, but he thinks Pep Guardiola will not stand in his way if he chooses to leave.

“If Manchester City lose Bernando Silva next summer, then that would be a big blow, but I think Pep Guardiola would let him go if he really wanted to leave because of his services for the club,” he added.
