An eyewitness who gave his name as Mojere Ope said the crisis became noticeable a few days ago when the Lagos State Government announced MC Oluomo as the Committee Chairman of the Parks and Garages.

One of his loyalists from the Yaya Abatan area was seen moving from garage to garage forcefully asking people to denounce their membership with the national body and pitch their tent with his boss.

It, however, came to its peak on Monday when some hoodlums arrived at the major parks simultaneously insisting that people denounce their membership with NURTW.

“This led to an altercation whereby those who refused to denounce their membership with NURTW were injured while others scampered for safety

“Affected areas were Ogba, Ifako, Fagba, and Pen Cinema where people including passers-by were injured. ” He said.

Another eyewitness, however, revealed it was a clash between suspected loyalists of the Chairman, Lagos State Parks and Garages Committee, MC Oluomo, and members of the Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria (TOOAN).

The clash, according to the eyewitness, bordered on the control of parks and ticket sales at various parks.
